After putting away all of my holiday decor,
I'm actually liking that subtle pop of color in January.
And even the not so subtle!
Every room needs a little bit of red, don't you think?
Keeping the spirit of Christmas alive into the New Year.
I appreciate all you sweet friends who have hung in there with me
during my first year of blogging. Thank you for all of
your visits and your encouraging comments!!

ReplyDeleteHi Mary Alice,
ReplyDeleteYour hints of red are beautifully soft and subtle. Red is my favourite colour so I have used it in bigger doses (a whole armchair!) around my place!
Have a lovely weekend,
Poppy

ReplyDeleteFarmhouse hugs,

As usual, I love most everything you do, but my favorite is still the enamelware cake bin with the breadboards. :) I LOVE red, so there are touches of it here and there in my home as well. Love to you!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE red....and if you ever, ever sell that chicken, please let me know...
ReplyDeleteLove it! Love the chick also. My parents owned a cement statue buisness and have everything you can think of. I have a couple of things and hope to collect a few more... Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the little pops of red! Looks so good up against the white.
ReplyDeleteLuv it!! I agree.. we all need little pops or not so little pops of red :-)
ReplyDeleteI deChristmassed the home yesterday, and left up pine cones, red berries , dried magnolia leaves and cotton bolls. Leaving me with a colour scheme of creamy white, brown, faded green and red. Luv it..
Cheers, Gee

I love red and little touches of it are great surprises! Yes, every room can use a bit of red to warm it up! Congrats on blogging for one year - looking forward to more! Hugs, Leena

ReplyDeleteThe perfect little cheery cherry pop!
ReplyDeleteYou do subtle and not so subtle red very well Mary Alice.
ReplyDeleteOh I do indeed love those pops of red, I don't like having to put most of the red away after Christmas. This year I found a way to keep some of it out by tweaking it a bit into "winter them". Your vignettes are all beautiful. Mary
ReplyDeleteThe bits of red, especially that metal box, do the trick. Nice touches to help hang onto the season.
